Doctor Scott was having difficulties making the patient adhere to her instructions. The individual often ignored his medication regimen, failed to engage in the prescribed exercises regularly, and frequently missed scheduled appointments with the physician. In order to address this noncompliance issue, Dr. Scott decided to teach the defiant patient a lesson and provide him with an impetus to diligently follow her directives in the future.
